Core Team
Tracey James
Tracey is the Founder and Managing Director of Technoledge.
She has over 20 years’ experience selling and marketing in Information Technology, Biotechnology/Life Sciences and Healthcare markets. She has held senior management positions with Merck, Amersham (now GE Healthcare) and Mayne Health (now Symbion), where she marketed or managed marketing of complex technical products and services to Tier 1 and 2 corporate, commercial and scientific research organizations.
Tracey’s passion is practical marketing. She loves theory but delights in combining creativity with process to deliver simple solutions to complex problems. She is results-focused, and has developed several Technoledge processes to reduce the time and uncertainty of technology marketing. Tracey has a keen ability to distill complex concepts into simple and compelling words.
Tracey’s disciplined approach reflects her original qualification in Biochemistry & Microbiology, with Honours in Biotechnology (UNSW). Although fascinated by scientific research, she found routine benchwork less so, and took a leap of faith from using to marketing products for chromatography, molecular biology and immunology. She later added Graduate Diplomas in Marketing Management and Business Management (UTS) and took another leap of faith from marketing Biotechnology to marketing Information Technology.
Tracey is a self-confessed health nut who swims and gyms all year round, who loves exploring the hidden, quiet places in Sydney on foot. She is also an active Toastmaster and current President of the Harbourview club that meets in Milsons Point.
