Background

The company had been founded 6 months before by a group of well known and respected IT industry innovators. The new entity was focused on delivering high quality IT solutions to customers in regional Australia, through acquisition of regional partners and provision of leading edge technologies from global and Australian vendors.

In previous projects we had :

  • Used targeted media relations to gain high placement rates for regional and metropolitan media
  • Researched and written 6 technical product brochures with minimal technical input and supervision by our client.

Our client now sought to update the company’s corporate brochure. 

Challenge

To rewrite the existing 6-page corporate brochure fold-out to encapsulate its key competitive advantages, in a clear, succinct and visually appealing format.

The existing brochure was a mixture of technical features and functions and the company’s vision. The proposed new brochure has to encapsulate:

  • 6 key business lines
  • Multiple local and global vendors
  • National focus through regional partners
  • Partnership with local vendors
  • The company’s experience and respected personnel,

and be suitable to attract new vendors and new partners as well as recognise existing ones.

Solution

We:

  • Returned to our competitive analysis completed for Project 1 to focus on the key advantages our client had to offer
  • Researched over 700 images of equipment, people and places to come up with 14 arresting images that were matched in theme, colour and style
  • Created 6 pages of text and images that encapsulated our client’s story.

Results

In 2 weeks our client gained a corporate brochure foldout which:

  • Was consistent with its corporate style
  • Clearly identified its 6 business lines without undue technical detail
  • Enunciated the company’s offering, competitive advantage and vision clearly, succinctly and logically in a format which was attractive and easy to read.
