Project 4 - Tender response
Background
This Australian company had provided specialized medical services to the finance sector for 17 years. Based in Melbourne it had:
- an established network of 600 providers and advisors
- most major banks and insurance companies as clients
- recently emerging large competitors who were targeting the same
market with automated online solutions
- simple brochures and an informative website.
In previous projects we had:
- defined a new market, positioning, tagline and messaging
- written new brochures and email marketing tools
- designed advertisements and wrote press releases for key media
- designed and built a new website for the company.
Challenge
To research and prepare a tender response to a tier 1 insurance client; to wrote a presentation support it; to complete both in 2 weeks.
Solution
We:
- reviewed the tender and identified key requirements
- queried the insurer on key points, formats and priorities
- re-worked our client’s offering to provide answers to 19 specific questions
- managed multiple edits from several key client staff
- prepared the final draft in the appropriate format
- designed a PowerPoint presentation for our client to present, summarizing key points and including full presenter notes
- coached our client in presenting the package
- attended the presentation meeting with our client and the insurer.
Results
- The response was submitted in time
- Our client presented its capability with depth, confidence, credibility
- Our client is on a short list of two and awaits the final decision
