Project 4 - IT Industry award application
Background
This Australian company had 30 years’ experience in logistics and development of logistics software, and an established reputation for superior functionality and
service. The company had:
- over 500 sites in Australia and Asia using its software
- established sales, marketing, service support teams
In previous projects we had:
- Surveyed its customers and prospects for decision drivers
- Re-positioned the company to focus on capabilities uncovered
- Created a new tagline and market position
- Revised its sales process
- Re-written its sales tools, including corporate profile, corporate presentation, technical sales proposal, all brochures and quarterly emailers
- Written an application for a logistics industry award on behalf of our client, which won the award.
Challenge
To create and submit an application for the 2008 AIIA industry 'iAwards' for the category of
e-logistics software; to combine material from our client and one of its partners into one application; to complete the project in under 10 days.
Solution
We:
- Conferred with AIIA to define the requirements of the application and eligibility criteria
- Interviewed personnel from our client’s organisation and the partner organisation
- Researched the partner's background and interviewed the principle for relevant details
- Reduced and modified the project material to answer 12 specific questions, briefly and succinctly, each in no more than 250 words.
- Managed multiple edits and final approvals between our client and the partner
- Packaged the final draft in the specific format required by AIIA.
Result
Our client won the eLogistics iAward for NSW and, a few months later, the national eLogistics iAward.
