This Australian company was originally an internet pioneer and is an established business serving over 3000 customers across the country. Like its parent company, it focuses on technical excellence backed by superior service, and it enjoys a high level of customer satisfaction and above industry average customer retention. The company:

  • provides an extensive range of internet-related services
  • had a simple, informative and somewhat technical website
  • sought to expand through a national campaign of reseller to acquisition.

Challenge

To identify the market to which the company’s and its offering are best suited; to repackage solutions, plans, options and benefits to appeal to decision makers in this market;

Solution

We:

  • Analysed competitor websites and offerings in relation to our client
  • Interviewed existing resellers to define the key benefits of our client’s solution in real environments
  • Interviewed key technical and managerial personnel to understand the technical advantages
  • Analysed our client’s service offering and extracted the benefits from each service
  • Concluded that the most accessible and sustainable market was Small Business
  • Created website mockups positioned to the Small Business market
  • Rewrote web text and selected appropriate images align with this market.

Result

In 4 weeks our client had gained:

  • A new image, tagline and market positioning
  • A new website look that was fresh, distinctive and targeted to Small Business
  • 52 pages of web text targeting Small Business, including re-positioned plans
  • Images matched to text that were appealing and of real people business people rather than models.
  • Instructions and linkmap for its web developers to follow.
