Background
The company had recently formed to provide a flexible, low cost, compete banking solution for financial institutions. It intended to acquire smart technologies from innovative Australian technology companies and integrate them into a single, competitive offering. The company had acquired its first major technology, and wanted to leverage its benefits by highlighting customer success stories.
In a previous project we had created :
- A process to screen products and customers for potential as case study candidates
- Used the process to survey 6 potential customers
- Wrote a compelling case study which differentiated our client, the acquired company and the technology.
Challenge
To research, write and manage approvals of 3 case studies in one week.
Solution
Our client had a conference in one week and needed 3 new case studies to be written and approved by the customer, the acquired company and themselves, and printed to be taken to the conference. To meet the deadline we:
- Interviewed technical staff of the acquired company for technical insights
- Used the protocol developed previously to identify the highest potential case study candidates quickly
- Interviewed the 3 case study candidates quickly yet in depth
- Drafted the case studies overnight and forwarded them simultaneously to the customer, acquired company and our client
- Managed multiple edits of each by each person over several days.
- Forwarded the final case studies in corporate format with customer approval and logo, to our client on time.
Results
- 3 case studies were completed in one week
- The client’s printing deadline was met and the printed case studies were presented to the conference.
